Alcy Leyva
Alcy Leyva is a Bronx-born writer who received his BA in Creative Writing from Hunter College and his MFA in Fiction from The New School. He currently resides with his wife and four (going on five) boys in New York where he is also a high school teacher of English Literature. Alcy enjoys fiction and likes to prod at its dark corners for strange interlopers. He taps into elements of fantasy and dark humor, but tends to roam around tirelessly for the next great project. He has sat in as an editor for the Bronx Community College Thesis Literary Magazine and has had his musings printed in U4U magazine and developed into a student film for the BCC 19th Annual Film Festival. Alcy has also led his own workshops in flash fiction and writing for films. He enjoys movies, gummi bears, and the word “schadenfreude”
