The Mission

Since 2013 Every Thing For Dads Foundation [EIN: 27-3069403]has been founded to assist fathers to become better and capable parents by assisting them to strengthen the personal foundation of fatherhood in all aspects of life - Education, Employment, Business,, Finance, Mental and Physical Health, and most importantly, to enable everyday folk to have easy access to information.

To build the confidence, educate, and support all fathers via the creation of systems which will be a complete and comprehensive platform - Instructional Courses and Seminars, Digital, Online, Individual Client Counseling, and a toll free telephone service.

To be able to engage highly qualified consultants in the areas of Parental Training and Coaching, Childhood Development, and Counseling as our primary areas of focus and will continue to add to

To help reduce the number of absentee fathers in the USA by incorporating a volunteer support system that will be one of the most extensive ever produced, providing counselors, and will be equipped with an unlimited amount of information and resources to assist Dads and families in need.

To help mothers and children to learn how to relate to fathers’ issues, in order to improve the dynamics of family relationships, via Instructional Courses and Seminars, Digital, Online, Print publications Individual Client Counseling, and a toll free telephone service.

 

To hold events which promote and celebrate the role of 21st Century Dads in a positive manner so as to further educate involved dads, to enlighten dads in need of parenting skills, and to reach the 12 million dads who are absentee. See the national coverage of our Daddy and Family Expo 2015

PROGRAMS

The Everything For Dads Foundation is committed to the creation of a variety of highly accessible and much-needed range of courses, seminars, events, by phone support and by both live and via internet streaming, which will be provided to Dads and families in need of assistance. The objective will be to provide professional assistance free or at the lowest possible cost.

All Day, All Night Dads - A national program for Dads; Basic course for young/inexperienced Dads, and Advanced for older and more experienced Dads. All Day Dads will assess issues and skills (both pre- and post- program) and our aim is to provide expert support for Dads in the community via volunteer and financial support.

All Day Dads will encourage and equip dads with the skills to learn how to involve themselves in healthy or healthier relationships with moms and their children. The course will be face to face or online via 6 two hour sessions covering wide aspects of the issues facing dads in today’s society, so that a wide range of dads from all cultures and backgrounds will be able to participate.

Health and Wellness Solutions  – Dads attend an open discussion forum led by an experienced dad and facilitator.  Dads will have an opportunity to discuss pressing issues they currently struggle with at home and the work place, plus health stress and anxiety management. 

Moms Helping Dads  – Moms meet with facilitators and Dads to provide moms a perspective on how a new dad may feel about fatherhood and what a mom can do to encourage his involvement as a hands-on dad; there will also courses facilitated by relationship counselors who will provide advice and support to help improve parental relationships

Healthy Dads Are Better Dads

This advice platform will provide online support and events, where the Foundation will provide access to health and fitness professionals, doctors, nutritionists and psychological support, because a Dads who looks after his physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and who makes better healthy choices is a better Dad who will provide a better role model for his children and family.

President

Jim Mckenzie

Jim is speaker, author, and health advocate, in addition to being a working at home father of 7 children (he caught 6 of them...) and is a renowned family, children and parenting counselor and dads advocate. 

As the spearhead of Stop Child Obesity Now, with wife Louise, Jim helped to create family health, wellness and skills courses which were accredited by the National Heart and Lung Institute. 

Jim was also an athlete of national standing, and is currently very active in trying to improve dads’ mental and physical health with online courses and coaching.

Louise is an author, speaker, as well as being a working mom of 7 children (all homebirths). She is an expert in all aspects of pregnancy and health and fitness throughout pregnancy, and helping women and moms get back in to shape both mentally and physically.

With husband she has developed family health programs which have been endorsed by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute of America, and with Jim she has co-authored books  “"The Eight New Rules of Parenting"” and “"The Eight New Rules of Kids Weight Loss and Control", with Jim. Louise advocates more involvement of Dads in the birthing process and strong parenting partnerships between Dads and Moms.

She is also the co- editor of magazine Every Little Thing Birth and Beyond 360  www.birthandbeyondmagazine.com


Secretary

Dr. Christine Thorpe

Dr. Christine Thorpe has more than 15 years’ experience in the health and human services fields, including extensive work as a health education specialist and wellness coach. In her work as founder of a consulting company that provides training, research and education for health and human services organizations, she has worked extensively to assist them enhance their capacity and effectiveness in addressing the needs of their target populations. 

Christine is the department chairperson and assistant professor in the Health and Human Services Department at New York City College of Technology/City University of New York. She is an active board member of the YWCA of Bergen County (NJ), where she is currently the board secretary. Christine is also the health literacy and cultural competence trainer for the Harold Freeman Patient Navigation Institute in New York City. 

Christine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Syracuse University, a Master of Education degree in International Education and a Doctoral degree in Health Education from Teachers College Columbia University.

An experienced family and community facilitator and trainer and author of The Family That Eats Together: A Nutritional Guide for Healthy Living (Good Living Book 1), Dr. Thorpe brings her vast experience of teaching, community activism and presenting to the Foundation, and is a renowned motivational trainer for health professionals.
