Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump's Baby Is Here, Ellen DeGeneres Congratulates New Dad
Who needs a birth announcement when you've got Ellen DeGeneres to do the job for you?!
Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump is the proud dad to a newborn baby boy, talk show host DeGeneres announced via Twitter on Wednesday, October 15.
Stump and his wife, Elisa Yao, only revealed their exciting pregnancy news last month, during an interview with 102.7 KIIS FM on Wednesday, Sept. 3.
And keeping news of his son's arrival similarly secret, Stump, 30, left it to DeGeneres, whose show he will be appearing on in a couple of weeks, to make his happy news public.
"It’s a boy! Actually, it’s a @FallOutBoy," DeGeneres wrote, sharing news of the couple's first-born, and an adorable snap of the baby. "Congrats @PatrickStump and welcome baby Declan! See y’all in 2 weeks!"
Talking before the birth, Stump revealed the pitter-patter of tiny feet is causing chaos for the “Centuries” hitmakers.
"The band is in a crazy place right now because there's a lot of little kids running around," he said during his 102.7 KIIS FM interview, referring to bandmate, Pete Wentz’s recent arrival — a boy with girlfriend Meagan Campter (Wentz already has a 5-year-old son, Bronx, with ex-wife Ashlee Simpson).
One good thing about having plenty of friends with kids, though, is the advice they impart. Wentz's words of wisdom to Stump? "You can never have enough Kleenex and baby wipes," the lead singer revealed.
