Creating Fun Family Memories With Different Things Including A Family Book
Do you remember those days where family albums were the thing? Every time guests would come around to your house, or your friends would gather in the lounge, your mom would bring out the family album to show everyone when you were a small child and the various embarrassing things you did.
Even though in the modern-day everything has gone digital, there are still some families that are sentimental about keeping up with this tradition. But very few and far places still sell those old type albums that you can stick your pictures inside, let alone, very few camera processing stores exist in various cities.
The cost of having images processed has no doubt risen, perhaps due to the lack of demand or perhaps the time it takes to do this. Photographic processing takes time and the right equipment to create a colourful image from a simple film or negative from an old camera. Chromogenic materials are often used in the processing method, but in some regions are difficult to get or expensive to purchase. Click here to find out what this is.
Everyone uses their phones, and no one invests in cameras anymore, unless they are instant, such as the Polaroid cameras. This is a great way to take pictures instantly, without having to wait for days to get processed and collect them from the store. Having a Polaroid camera, however, is one thing, a book or album to place them in, is another and both go hand in hand.
When thinking about keeping the tradition of albums alive, but find it difficult to purchase one, or everyone in the family has grown older and find it a boring thing to do, you can add some adventure to the idea and grab your polaroid too. How? We tell you below.
Take Everyone to Your Local Gaming Centre
Arcades aren’t just for children, they are also great fun for the entire family! From shooting hoops to racing against each other or even skiing, there are always tons of different games, with flashing lights and big red buttons for you and your kids to press.
Take the family out for a day at the games arcade and don’t forget to take some pictures to take back home with you. Everyone can get to keep one, or you can put it on your fridge and get a fridge magnet created out of it. Did you know you can create a fantastic fridge magnet at home yourself? If you have a free photo editor such as GIMP, you can get creative and make a few out of all the images you collect.
It may take some practice, and the risk of losing your images is there, but you could give it a shot. Some tips can be found here: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/diy-easy-to-make-instagram-magnets/
A Family Challenges Book
We all know how exciting challenges and competitions can be when played amongst adults and kids. Why not add a different angle to this and organize some activities to do with your children and their friends over a weekend?
Do a challenge out of the 50 different ideas available in these books, and take loads of pictures of them. It will give you a wide selection of different images you can make magnets from them or place in the book itself.
A highly original idea and something that everyone can have fun with. Sometimes we can run out of ideas, and this family book will help you with that. You don’t necessarily have to pick them one after the other or from the start of the book to the end, go for a casual approach and open a random page and place your finger on any square to see what you get. Almost like winning the lottery!
Chances are, this book will be a better hit than that old worn-out family album with your baby pictures in it.
Going Out into Nature
Why not grab your bicycles and go on a fun ride into nature? If the weather is great and the sun is shining, this is a perfect activity to do, and take pictures of too. A family bike riding adventure is a great way to teach your children how to ride their bikes on rough terrains and get the most of those bikes you bought for them.
After the year the world has had, staying indoors is no longer an option, and there is nothing better than then going out into nature and embracing the fresh air and oxygen that trees give off. It helps to destress you and gives your children and young adults a reason to love the outdoors.
It is very important to balance your life with some indoors time and some outdoor time, and if you are blessed with greenery around you, you should make the most of it before winter comes along and you need to be indoors again.
