Top 4 Ways To Showcase Your American Pride Even If You’re Not Actually American

The United States of America is the ultimate emblem of freedom and unity and is the most recognized symbol of the aspiration of the free world. Whether you are a born and bred American citizen brimming with pride for your home country or an outsider with a genuine love and passion for the states, here are the top five ways to showcase your American pride.

1.   Host a July 4th Party

This summer, there is no better time to simultaneously gather your loved ones in your backyard and pay homage to the United States of America than to throw your very own celebration of Independence Day.

Cover the perimeter of your backyard with star-spangled banners, serve only classic American foodstuffs and create the ultimate in sweet showstoppers with a red, white, and blue frosted flag cake. Go big, or go home! Display your large American flag with pride, and fly it from a large commercial flagpole so that it can be seen all over your neighborhood! Then, when the sun goes down, carefully prepare red, white, and blue fireworks and, following all safety regulations, see the day turn to night with the ultimate bang!

2.   Wear American Apparel

As everyone knows, even though not everyone is entirely comfortable admitting it, first impressions count, and if you really want everyone you meet to be aware of your passion for and allegiance to the states, what better way than to purchase some brand New Patriotic Apparel that truly shows where your loyalties lie. So, wear your American eagle tee with pride, wrap a star-spangled bandana around your head and own the fact that you just cannot get enough of the United States of America.

3.   Get A Tattoo!

Traditionally and rather inexplicably, in a rule usually reserved for only older males, American flag tattoos, specifically on the upper arm, are used to represent a family member or close friend who died before their time.

These days, however, American flag tattoos have morphed into a million-dollar business, with the flag being used in a variety of ways and sometimes even somewhat ironically. If you are feeling brave and particularly patriotic, experienced, and professional tattooists who are skilled in the art of watercolor can create a whole picture on your back, shrouding the outline of the states in the flag. A small flag on the back of your neck is hidden under your hairline for a more subtle depiction of your dedication to the Americas.

4.   Support USA Veterans

There are many impactful and meaningful ways to show your support for USA veterans and by no means do such gestures start and end with monetary donations.

Although some people may consider this to be crass, simply actively and verbally thanking a USA veteran on the street or in your local store may not make a big difference globally but will certainly make that person’s day. More substantial ways to show your support would be to become a volunteer visitor to your local veteran’s hospital and regularly visit wounded veterans or becoming part of the veteran’s association’s official volunteer transportation network.
