Keeping Lethargy At Bay: A Guide For Dads
A child goes through a lot of changes during childhood and adolescence. After adolescence when the person becomes an adult, it becomes very hard to bring about changes in lifestyle and physical health. Apart from the biological barriers, there are also social responsibilities on a person which sometimes hinders the process of a positive change. Though not all hope is lost as working towards a goal at any age with a sheer will can always bring about change. A lot of grown-ups, especially dads, complain about lethargy and lack of energy while on the other hand, some radiate energy all day long. There are some specific reasons as to why this divide happens and certain ways to jump ship to the brighter side. Let’s have a look at them.
Eat right
Eating healthy is one of the most important things you can do to make sure you keep your lethargy away. As you start to age, junk food and healthy food start to affect your body a lot more. You start to notice the ill effects of junk food more prominently. Eating right will always keep you full of energy and will also keep other illnesses away.
An average sedentary male needs to consume about 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight as part of a healthy diet. If you exercise vigorously your body will probably need more protein to grow and maintain muscle mass. Look for easily absorbable sources of complete protein, such as poultry, yogurt, red meat, nuts, beans, fish, and eggs, or use a quality protein supplement like Proplant Complete Shake to boost your intake if you are on the run and too busy to cook.
Stay away from drugs
It is quite obvious that if your body is used to regular drug intake then it forms a dependency on it. Forming a dependency will automatically form a chain reaction of a lot of health problems one after the other with lethargy being one of them. It also causes mental issues like irritation, mood swings, anger issues, etc. Then there are obviously other hazards that come with drug abuse which are much worse than just lethargy. Limiting alcohol intake is also a must if you ever want to be a dad who always has energy for his children.
Play a sport
Every child wants to have a dad who can teach some sports to them and spends time with them while playing. It is always good to be indulged in some sport in your college time. In an interview with fred buckley, a quarterback from Stanford University, he explained how playing a sport has helped him keep the image of a forever energetic man. It does not matter what sport you play as long as you put some effort into it. The motive is to always do some form of exercise daily and playing a sport is probably the best form of it.
Sleep on time
Probably the most lightly taken essential activity for almost everyone is maintaining a regular sleep schedule. The importance of sleep is rather sidelined in the world we live in today. Many do not realize that while sleeping your body heals and rebuilds itself at an incredible rate. Avoiding sleep, in the long run, will always cause multiple complications and again one of them will definitely be lethargy.
No one likes a lethargic person. Especially, for dads who have a ton of responsibilities on themselves, it is essential to keep lethargy at bay. Incorporating these activities in your daily lifestyle will no doubt make you a dad who is full of energy and freshness.
